Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Equipment Operator / CDL Driver / Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on field experience, strong work ethic, and the ability to perform various tasks including operating heavy equipment, driving dump trucks, transporting equipment, and performing labor duties when needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and skid steers, etc.
• Perform excavation for utilities, foundations, grading, and general site work.
• Drive company dump trucks (Class A preferred; Class B acceptable).
• Assist with labor tasks including pipe installation, excavation, layout, grading, and jobsite preparation.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in safe working conditions.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Work effectively with crew members, foremen, and supervisors.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in excavation, site work, or heavy construction.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Valid Massachusetts Hoisting License 2A/1C (required).
• CDL License: Class A preferred, Class B accepted.
• Ability to read grades, follow site plans, and work independently.
• Reliable transportation and strong punctuality.
• Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of drainage systems and utility installation.
• Experience using laser levels, trench boxes, and grade stakes.
• Basic mechanical ability for equipment care and maintenance.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to teamwork.
