Summerland Homes & Gardens is looking for a talented, driven individual to join our team as a Summer Sales Associate/Office Assistant. We are a full-service design firm as well as a retail home furnishings shop.
Requirements:
· Can communicate comfortably with customers, vendors and colleagues
· Has strong self-motivation and extreme attention to detail
· The ability to work as a team
· Strong organizational skills
· A great attitude
· Experience in design, home merchandising or apparel is a plus
· Social media knowledge is a plus
· Available to work 20-25 hours per week
· Available to work on Fridays and some Saturdays
Responsibilities:
· Working with customers on the showroom floor selling furniture and accessories
· Communication with vendors to check stock and availability of items
· Following up with customer’s special requests through phone calls and emails
· Working in the showroom to maintain a clean, stocked and organized floor
· Sample library organization
· Receiving and pricing merchandise
· General office duties supporting the design staff and assisting on projects when needed
· Administrative work (filing, updating catalogs, stocking supplies, keeping the office organized)
· Answering phones
· Taking deliveries
