Kennedy Donovan is seeking applicants for the position of Residential Counselor to facilitate the provision of home-based supports and community resources for individuals with acquired brain injuries, utilizing a team-based approach. Promote individual growth in the areas of choice and decision-making, community membership, relationships and personal accomplishments. Multiple Shifts Available:

1. 7am-3pm Thursday through Sunday
2. 7am-3pm Wednesday, 3pm-11pm Thursday through Saturday
3. 10am-6pm Sunday through Thursday
4. 3pm-11pm Monday through Friday
5. 3pm-11pm Wednesday through Sunday
6. 11pm-7am Sunday through Wednesday


Monitor the health and medical condition of individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI), in a group residential setting, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
Provide supports to individuals in accordance with their individual service plans (ISP’s)
Provide assistance and/or supervision to individuals in the areas of daily living and personal care, including, but not limited to; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, toileting, ambulation, communication or other needs that are in keeping with the individuals’ care requirements
Work with an interdisciplinary team and the individual’s families/guardians to encourage community and social integration
Perform, coordinate and/or assist with household activities such as housekeeping and meal preparation
Provide transportation for individuals receiving services to planned and/or necessary activities and appointments when necessary
Maintain confidentiality, respect human rights and practice universal precautions at all times in accordance with KDC policies
Performs other related duties and activities as required


Experience working with individual with disabilities preferred
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Valid Driver's license
Able to meet required certification for First Aid, CPR and Medication Administration
