Steinway Concert Grand Piano (modified). 159 year-old piano with an extended keyboard, however the hammers were replaced with a modern set that are standard keyboard size, so the highest notes no longer work. The piano's exterior has not been well maintained; the case has flaking paint, and the lid is cracked longitudinally. Many of the white keys have broken edges, but this does not affect the playability. This piano has a light action and when tuned, it has a full rich sound, especially in the lower octaves. If you have the space for it, it is a wonderful instrument to play. This would be an excellent project for someone interested in restoration.
The piano is located in a small house on a hill and cannot exit without going down a flight of stairs. We will move our furniture as needed to assist in getting the piano out of the house, but nothing else. If you are interested, you will have to come and get it or make the arrangements and pay for a professional piano mover yourself. The piano is free for the taking.
