*Body: a solid mahogany back and sides with a solid spruce top. Guitar has a natural lacquer finish that has aged to a warm, amber hue. The binding is black, and has a classic tortoise-style pickguard.
*Neck and Fingerboard: The neck is mahogany, and the fingerboard and bridge is made of Brazilian rosewood, a highly desirable and now protected wood that adds significant value to vintage Martins from this era. The fingerboard has simple dot inlays.
*Condition: The finish has light cosmetic wear, no cracks or repairs, and has a bright, melodic sound.
*Authenticity: The serial number (187657)and model are etched on the neck block, and contains a visible signature of C.F. Martin IV.
