Listing my 2004 Gibson J-45 Sunburst, built on October 17th in the Gibson factory.
One of the all-time great acoustic guitars and one I’ve loved having in my collection.
I picked this up from the original owner back in 2015 and it’s been well taken care of throughout it’s lifetime—always in the case in a temperature controlled room.
The J-45 has a reputation for a reason. They are warm, with a full sound and great projection that just gets better with age. This one plays and sounds exactly like you’d hope.
Details:
• Solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides
• Round-shoulder dreadnought body, traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing
• Mahogany slim taper neck, rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale (neck width: 1 11/16”)
• Grover Rotomatic tuners, rosewood belly-up bridge
• LR Baggs Element soundhole pickup (I had it added— great for plugging in without losing that acoustic tone) Sorry for the blurry pickup photo.
•Fresh strings on it now
•Original hardshell case included
Condition is near mint. There are a few small dings on the headstock and a minor ding on the bottom left of the body’s face near the binding… it’s all visible in the photos. I can always share more in a message. Nothing structural, nothing that affects playability. Both the guitar and the case are in fantastic shape overall.
If you know J-45s, you know what you’re looking at. If you’re new to them, this is a great one to start with.
