Wood turned Speaker Amplifier on a midi lathe. From an ugly and nasty looking chunk of Oak to a Beautifully hand crafted Speaker Amplifier that will compliment any office area. Approximately 5 hours of labor goes into making one of these from the shaping to the finish work.
Great and unique gift. Best part… it just doesn’t look stunning but it actually works! Obviously it doesn’t Blast the sound but it definitely makes a noticeable sound increase. Haven’t measured the decibel differences so I don’t know all the mumbo-jumbo science stuff. I will say that everyone that has seen it and heard it gives a similar reaction. Usually a Smile followed with some laughter and a WOW!!!
Approximate measurements: A little over 7 inches in length. The base is around 4 inches wide and the Horn end is about 6 Wide.
I was envisioning the Old Thomas Edison Victrola player. So my design is sorta like that big horn on a smaller scale. Each one is different as no two pieces of wood are the same.
A few pictures below showing it from the Start and an idea of what the process it took to get to the finished product. Lots of tooling and sanding.
I take great pride in each piece I make. They are one of a kind and surely make a great gift.
