Hey folks,
I'm David, owner of The Chimney Pro here in South Dennis on Cape Cod. Small family-style operation, been doing solid chimney and masonry work around here for years. Looking for a reliable helper (or two) to jump in starting end of March through the summer—could turn into year-round if things click.
This is hands-on stuff: helping with chimney repairs, masonry, getting up on roofs safely, carrying materials, cleaning up sites. No fancy office—just good hard work outdoors, fixing chimneys so folks stay safe and warm.
Big plus: if you're motivated and want to learn the real trade (masonry, chimney repairs, liners, flashing, all of it), there's real room to grow here. I've got the knowledge and I'm happy to teach. Stick with it, work hard, and you can move up in pay and skills—maybe even run jobs down the road.
Full-time or part-time spots open (we can work with your schedule)
Pay starts based on what you bring to the table—construction, roofing, labor, or masonry experience helps a lot. We'll talk fair Cape Cod rates.
What the job looks like day-to-day:
Assisting on chimney inspections, repairs, repointing, flashing fixes, liner installs, crowns, firebox/damper work
Lifting and hauling heavy stuff (bricks, blocks, tools—50+ lbs no problem)
Working safely on roofs and ladders (gotta be comfy up high and follow safety rules)
Loading the truck, keeping sites clean, backing up the crew
Picking up the trade from me and the team—on-the-job learning
What I'm looking for:
Drug-free (we keep it that way on the job)
Physically able to handle the lifting and heights
Got your own reliable ride to get to South Dennis and jobs around the Cape
Good attitude, shows up on time, wants to learn and stick around long-term
Experience? Great if you've got some (roofing, landscaping, general labor), but not required—I'll train the right person
If this sounds like something you'd dig and you're the type who wants to build real skills in a trade instead of just a summer gig, hit me up!
To apply, just reply
Your name and phone number
Quick rundown of your work history (even if it's not related—tell me what you've done and when)
Why you think you'd fit in and why you're interested in learning chimney/masonry work
Full-time or part-time? When can you start?
Serious replies only—I'll get back to good ones quick. No need to stop by; let's chat first.
Thanks for reading—hope to hear from some solid, hardworking people ready to get after it!
