Job Summary: The Shift manager is an integral part of the management of Wellfleet Shellfish. This position is hands on requiring a person to be quick thinking, able to multi-task, able to make critical decisions resulting in achieving deliverables laid forth efficiently, effectively and on point. This position is responsible for assuming all operational responsibilities during their shift and assumes the role of implementing company objectives to help production operate efficiently and profitably.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Passionate about shellfish and the fishing industry
• Leadership and innovation
• Ability to assess products for quality compliance.
• Good time management skills.
• Basic understanding of principles and processes of customer service
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience in the handling, health, and quality of shellfish
• Wholesale experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
