My partner and I are looking for a 1-bedroom cottage or apartment with a small yard if possible. We are a couple who have been together for 10 years, both disabled, and we have a housing voucher. We are long-term tenants with a great rental history, excellent references, and we always pay rent on time. We do not drink, do drugs, or party, and we live a very quiet, low-key lifestyle.
We are clean, respectful, and responsible people looking for a peaceful place to make our own little sanctuary. Our nights are usually pretty simple — a game on the laptop and a Dateline episode.
We do have two service pets with doctor documentation: a service dog and a cat. My dog is 10 years old, a bulldog, deaf, very laid back, does not bark, and mostly keeps to himself. We take daily walks and car rides. My cat is 11 years old, weighs 6 pounds, stays indoors, does not damage anything, and is very loving and gentle.
I am 45 and my partner is 38. We have already passed background checks as part of being on the housing voucher program. We are looking for a stable, comfortable place we can take care of and call home.
