My partner and I are looking for a long‑term year‑round rental anywhere on Cape Cod from Eastham to Bourne. We are hoping for a 1‑bedroom cottage or apartment, or an affordable 2‑bedroom.
We are open to any legal apartment setup, including over‑garage units, in‑law apartments, and small cottages.
About us
Couple together for 10 years, ages 45 and 38 (soon 39).
Both steady income.
We have a Housing Choice Voucher rent guaranteed!(similar to Section 8) and have already passed all required CORI/background checks to receive it.(As you may know we are also protected because we have a Housing Voucher and in the state of Massachusetts landlords must accept housing vouchers we also cannot be denied on this basis as well.)
Excellent landlord references and a strong
long‑term rental history.
Non‑smokers, do not drink or use drugs, and not partiers.
Quiet, clean, respectful, low‑key, usually in bed by 9 pm.
Carry renters insurance through Liberty Mutual with liability coverage.
We are Cape Cod natives with deep family and community ties here, and we are hoping to put down roots and build a long‑term, positive relationship with a landlord. We’re happy to consider any reasonable, legal year‑round 1BR or small 2BR situation.
We have a Service dog and service cat (legally protected)
A 10‑year‑old bulldog, born deaf, fully housebroken, has never caused damage.
A small 6 lb cat who mostly hides and sleeps;
Both animals are older and very calm.
***(Under the federal Fair Housing Act and Massachusetts law, assistance and service animals are NOT considered pets, and landlords must make reasonable accommodations for tenants with disabilities, even in “no pets” or “no animals” buildings, unless the animal poses a direct threat or causes undue burden. This means we cannot be denied housing simply because of our documented service animals, and pet fees or pet deposits generally cannot be charged for them.)***
We are happy to provide:
Documentation from our medical providers confirming the need for our assistance animals.
Voucher information and inspection details.
References from previous landlords and other housing documents as well.
We take daily walks and car rides with our dog, keep our home very clean, and are respectful of neighbors and property. we want to find our own little sanctuary our own little piece of Earth.
if you have (or know of) a year‑round 1BR or small 2BR in the Eastham–Bourne area that might be a good fit, please message me. We’re looking for a stable, long‑term home and a landlord who values reliable, responsible tenants.
Thank you for reading and for any leads you can share.
