About Us
Ten Yen is a critically-acclaimed sushi restaurant in Orleans, MA. We have an opening for a chef who is motivated, consistent, and wants to strive for the best. We are a low-volume, high precision kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
• Station Management: Ensure all cooking stations are stocked and prepped while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation.
• Food Production: Prepare and plate dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Inventory Control: Assist with daily prep, inventory rotation, and reporting shortages to the Chef.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience: 1+ year in fine dining or culinary school
• Leadership: Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead by example.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in various cooking methods (grill, sauté, fry) and expert knife skills.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
•Must be available to work nights and weekends
