About Us
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to be a key player in our kitchen. In this role, you will execute dishes with precision and speed while helping lead the line, supporting kitchen organization, and setting the standard for quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and Supervise: Oversee line cooks to ensure consistency, timing, and quality during service.
• Station Management: Ensure all cooking stations are stocked (mise en place) and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Food Production: Prepare and plate dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Training: Assist in training and mentoring junior line cooks and prep team members.
• Inventory Control: Assist with daily prep lists, inventory rotation (FIFO), and reporting shortages to the Chef.
Qualifications & Skills
• Experience: 2+ years of proven cooking experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Leadership: Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead by example.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in various cooking methods (grill, sauté, fry) and expert knife skills.
• Certification: Food Handler’s license or ServSafe certification (preferred or required).
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to [40–50] pounds.
