RARE 23" x 44" framed lithograph. The National Gallery of Art acquired the original piece in 1973, so this lithograph must have come sometime after that. In 1977, there was a Matisse exhibition called "The Cut-Outs" at The National Gallery of Art, so it is quite possible that this was produced then. It was professionally framed by Kennedy Studios in Hyannis. While most of the wear on the print is part of the design, I do not think the fold lines throughout are supposed to be part of it. The text at the bottom of the print reads:
No. 2652 / Henri Matisse, 1869-1954 / Woman with Amphora and Pomegranates (1952) / paper on canvas / 2.436 x 0.963 m (96 x 37 7/8 in.) / Ailsa Mellon Bruce Fund / National Gallery of Art, Washington
