1981 Mako 21 project, currently sitting on a 2011 Venture bunk aluminum trailer with brand new tires and leaf springs as of last year, trailer is in excellent condition. I also added target bunks to the front of the trailer, can load and unload single handedly super easy. Open to offers
I used the boat for a few years before the previous engine blew and I wanted to try my hand at transom replacement and removal of the rear deck boxes. Boat is super solid for age except for one soft spot in front of the console due to open screw holes from whatever deck box was there. They have since been plugged with epoxy. I was planning on just redoing the transom and back deck boxes and using as is. Needs gas tank as well but removed the old one and still have it
As you can see from the photos, last summer I was able to remove the old transom core and clean up the outside skin pretty good as well as remove the back boxes for way more deck space for fishing.
Just wanted to post this and see if there was any interest as unfortunately my priorities have changed this past year. Would love to continue this project but do not have the time and hate to just see it sitting covered and unfinished.
Saved a bunch of OEM mako marine hardware, all original teak, mako “super” console, original mako teak leaning post with new upholstery on cushion, Yamaha binnacle, bow rail, center console and leaning post nice fabric covers, hydraulic steering, etc.
