Squid and whale carving - $3,495 (Nantucket)

This was carved by Ed Boggis from New Hampshire in 1993. He is well known for his cigar store Indians. This was commissioned by his brother being the only one to exist. The whale and squid are hand carved and applied to a solid backing. The blue backing and fish are painted. I believe that the outside frame appears to be mahogany with a wood backing. It weighs approximately 60-80 lbs. it measurements are 36-1/2x54-3/8. This would be a great addition to any restaurant in the Seacoast.located in Maine.
