Frustrating - this is a like-new Dewalt Generator I bought about 2 years ago. I used it only twice for a total of maybe 10 hours. This last blizzard I fired it up, started no problem, and had the wire feeding my manual transfer switch swing and touch the exhaust. It melted the wire and shorted out.
Now the generator fires up, runs perfectly fine for a second or two (so mechanically is like new), but no display on the board and it turns off 100% of the time exactly after a second or two.
Someone who knows more than I do about these can likely fix this otherwise like-new generator if you can get the electrical issue sorted out. I replaced it during the storm so I have no need to solve this problem.
On the back of my truck; can deliver within reason from Brewster, and has a nearly full fresh tank of gas.
