Cape Cod based 37 yo pro BASS player with pro attitude and gear ( Fender / Ampeg ) is still looking for other like minded pros to form a very high quality,authentic,long term EARLY Black Crowes Tribute. This means everyone must know their shit and have all the right gear and be able to play all the songs note-for-note. One guitarist must know all the open tunings Rich uses, other must be able to play leads like Marc Ford. Maybe you can trade off ? NO offence to any other bands but,this will not be some cheezy,half-ass cover band. If a ''tribute band'' is not done 100% right on, then why even bother, right ? This is not for the ''casual'' Crowes fan. There is also plenty of room for tons of other great covers like the ones the Crowes play,(Stones,Band,Led Zep,etc..). I really want to concentrate on Money Maker & Southern Harmony for right now,then maybe move on to the deeper tracks. Freak N Roll on DVD or CD will give you a good idea of what this is all about or even better any Southern Harmony 1992 era shows on cd or dvd.. Heavy on the SONGS, very light on the ''jams''. I play john mayer,sublime,the beatles the rolling stones, jimmy buffet, bob marley, tons and tons of other random oldies and goodies im 30 years old and had a music gig all winter long but the bar I was playing decided to hire a dj instead.
